I've had great experiences with Delta replacing damaged luggage. I had a High Sierra large rolling duffle, and they crushed one end of it. Stopped by at MSP after getting the luggage, and they gave me another bag to put my stuff in (they kept the damaged bag) and then ordered me a new one that was delivered to my home 10 days later.
