I've had High Sierra luggage for 5 years. They may be considered a "cheapo" Macy's brand but have replaced 3 of my bags for broken zippers, broken wheels, etc etc. it's worth looking into, OP. At least send the company an email.
Unfortunately High Sierra was sold so we'll see how the new owners handle warranty.
