For those of you in China, Air China is surprisingly miles-efficient for A3 on First Class. Because of the 300% accrual in F and A class, I've been netting 2k miles on PEK - SHA route each way. An A fare can go as low as RMB1,100 (US$180) incl tax on non-peak hours.
The only thing you have to put up with here are the constant delays due to air-traffic control and the ghastly Chinese red wine at the lounge and onboard.
How often do these fares appear? I usually find 3k+ CNY.
