Market is flooded with A319s.
AC can't get anything for theirs.
Configured the way they are is not profitable on the vast majority of routes with current oil and aircraft alternatives.

So, AC does the only thing they can ....... re-configure them and deploy them on leisure routes.

Unfortunate as the A319 is one of my favourite aircraft to travel on ... For the exact reasons they don't work as well for airlines anymore
