Long Haul 3 hour delay

Hi all

My longhaul flight in cw was delayed 3 hours due to tech problems on the outbound flight from lhr. Obviously this falls outside of eu261 regs but it was really rather inconvenient and I feel like we should be due some kind of compensation. Do you think it's worth putting a complaint in and what might ba offer in this scenario?
