I was going to say this exact thing! You beat me to it!

Incidentally, TG's hard and soft products on that flight were awesome, even in economy. Huge seat pitch, great food, good IFE. Better than some business class I've been on. ^

According to Great Circle Mapper, IST-SYD is a full 1000 miles longer than LAX-BKK, though. That means almost a 20 hour flight...
