Our flight from PHX is delayed significantly today. Scheduled departure is 1925 but delayed to 0128 as presumably the incoming flight hasn't left London yet.

Anybody with experience of this route know what to expect other than a long wait at the airport and seek EU compensation? Will they try and reroute people or hold the flight off til tomorrow ? Will the BA lounge remain open?

Also what is the checkin policy re delayed flights - we have checked in online but need to drop bags off. I think check in closes 1.5 hours before, presumably this is before the scheduled departure time rather than the delayed departure time?

FWIW we are flying Club and one of us is OWE.
