The fact of the matter is, I just can't stand RBC. I practically had to go into the back room for a cavity search at my local branch just to pick up my BA Visa last fall (and that was after waiting for almost a month after my application). Then there were issues with my 35,000 bonus points posting after I met my minimum spend and waited for over 3 months. I've dealt with CIBC and BMO (for loans, bank accounts, credit cards) and haven't had to jump through the same hoops I've had to with RBC.
Sooo...for me deciding to churn an RBC card is already a precarious undertaking for me. When I churn my next RBC card, I really want it to be as straight-forward as possible....
Yes, getting those extra 35k BA was a PITA. The only thing I like is that generally have excellent phone agents on par with AMEX and their VISAs are IMHO the best in Canada.
