I am booked on CX on a AA award (F to HKG, and J from HKG to CMB) later this summer from LAX to HKG on CX885 connecting to CX 703. There is a significant risk as lots of things can conspire to delay a long haul flight. And don't forget that your bags may not make it even if you do. I had a 1 hour 10 mins connection 2 days ago, and my bags failed to make it. They were placed on the following flight 3.5 hours later so I wasn't too fussed. But if you have only 1 flight a day, I'd suggest packing a change of clothes in your hand luggage.
