I hate the term as it does not apply to private companies, nothing national about AC.
Meh, couldn't think of a better term. But it still shows up on the Wiki page for Flag carrier and seems to be the airline most associate with the country.
I didn't know a choice of words would be what people focused on when I posted the comment.
