How would this system work with mobile boarding passes? There's no way in hell I'd hand my phone over to a TDC, let alone let him/her pass it over to a colleague out of my arm's reach...
I can imagine two possible scenarios:
1) "Do You Want To Fly Today? Then hand it over!"
2) "Sir, we don't accept those here. You're going to have to go back to the desk and get a REAL boarding pass or you won't be allowed through Security.
