Weather delay = hotel room and rerouting?
My 9-year-old daughter was flying LH with her aunt today from IAD through FRA to KBP. The flight was around 90-120 mins late out of IAD due, I think, to weather enroute. They missed their connection and are stuck in FRA for 12 hours.
Should LH offer for a hotel room for the day? And could they have offered alternative routing with another airline? Not sure about protocol here.
