Whoa! Old thread but happy to see so many fellow CD'ers!

For anyone reading in Europe, German Öko worked just as we'll as commercial brands. If they're sold in the U.S...

Also, mother of a rash-prone kid, try spouses at home first, if your tot is usually CD'd. It took awhile to figure out which brands didn't cause problems. Size can be an issue too. I know some parents had trouble finding sposies to fit skinny-legged babies. Try borrowing (ha!) from friends if possible, one or two sposies before buying a mega-pack.

Just don't wait to get on the plane to have your child have problems with the sposies!
