There are now many options for diapers that have reusable outers/wraps and disposable inserts. Gdiapers, flip, etc.
For disposables, I didn't care at all for 7th gen. I preferred Earth's Best. Nature Babycare are nice, too. There is a new brand only available over the Web called The Honest Company. Theirs are supposed to be free of the nasty stuff. Haven't tried them yet but just placed my first order today. Here's my referral link:

One thing that works well is to order a case if diapers from Amazon to be shipped directly to your hotel. That way you don't have to stuff them in all your outside pockets. Wipes are heavy. I put a few packs in the extra space in our Bjorn Travel Crib case. If I put them in our main luggage we'll be over the weight limit.
There's a Cruise Critic thread about going on a cruise with cloth diapers. I believe it's in their Cruising With Children forum (or whatever it's called). The poster ended up doing gDiapers with disposable inserts, I think. It worked for her.
My kids are Niagara Falls at night, so we've always used disposables for nights. Sadly, 8-month-old Kid #2 is busting out of Size 6 disposables, and none of my stash, not even the Fuzzibunz size Large, fits his enormous booty. I'm hoping he stretches out when he starts crawling. Otherwise we may have to get creative.
