Thanks to the lounge debacle I haven't flown from Manchester for 3 weeks.
This morning the photo booths were in operation, slowing down entry to security as they failed to work, and causing a very long queue at gate 141 while the single photo checker processed people.
New policy in place on this route too, bags without a label must be put under your seat to make way for people that insist on varying their wardrobe with them.
All in all a much worse experience than just a month ago, it feels more and more like easyjet every day, just with a zero on the end of the price.
A shame virgin dont do code shares on the euston trains.
I hope at least the staff in the lounge are still nice?
MAN seems to like weird automation things, like the entry system to the metal detectors. Not seen these new photo things at security are they the same as LHR?
Was the check at the gate also fully automated or did you have the option to deal with a real person?
Sounds like they're trying to make MAN too much hassle for point to point travel these days. Virgin Trains must be happy.
