BKKLEE is partially correct. The last time I used a 50% discount voucher at JW Bkk it was a Marriott Gold Thailand voucher, however this was March 2012 hardly two years ago ... but yes I admit I must have been wrong thinking that last year I had 50% discount vouchers. Since April 2012, my records show I've been receiving CM 20% discounts, I think (not 100% sure) entirely without voucher. I agree with BKKLEE that the benefits have been going downhill for last couple of years, particularly for those of us finding our value in the discounted room rates (and not food vouchers). For those who can use all the food vouchers (8 people for 50% discount, etc) it's probably worth the 7500 price.

To BigE ... thanks for your thoughts but really I don't feel "cheated" by JW ... but feel a bit cheated or "disappointed" with whoever Marriott contracted to run the Club Marriott deal .. although also I admit I didn't pay much attention to all the voucher benefits changes in the over the phone sales pitch before agreeing to purchase the membership.

Regarding JW, I just think someone at JW reservations made a mistake .... same as I did in my earlier post ... assuming the 50% discount vouchers (Club Marriott/Marriott Gold or whatever) are still being offered. I am just curious as to how JW will suggest resolving this at check-out. And really the $ (Baht) is not a big deal to me .... although as I mentioned previously, I'm probably going to be changing Bkk hotels.
