Thanks for sharing this unique and outstanding trip report. I appreciate the exquisite composition in many of your pics. I would love to go to Vietnam one of these days. It's interesting to observe so many similar aspects between Vietnamese and Chinese cultures. This is not surprising considering that parts of Vietnam were a former Chinese province long time ago.
