Does McD have complimentary Wifi or any other place that offers that. The airport does give first 30 mins free, but need atleast 2 hours during the 4.5 hr layover.

The Luxx lounge looks pretty basic from the pics on their website:

According to this post McD gives you one hour of free wifi but you will need a cell phone to receive a text message.

There are Internet workstations throughout the airport which gives you 30 minutes free access and costs 4.95 EUR for each additional hour.

Not sure what your idea of a decent lounge is like but the LUXX Lounge looks better than an average business lounge and according to this recent post it is "very quiet, small yet elegant". For your children a visit to McD and the visitor terrace above T2 if the weather is nice might be better than a visit to a lounge. It will certainly be cheaper!

You haven't said where you are connecting to (Schengen or non-Schengen) but the new Pier A+ is spacious and has areas with reclining chairs for relaxation as well as free coffee and newspapers at the gates.
