The OP is screwed either way. If they are honest about the girlfriend, there is a 99% chance they will be denied entry. If they are driving, this whole thing will be much easier to massage - if they are flying and Immigration decides to access the return portion of their ticket, then sure it could get complicated so the OP needs to choose their angle wisely - but saying "I'm going to visit my girlfriend for the summer" will likely end the trip right then and there and we've had other threads discuss the same problem.
If there decide there is even a remote chance the OP will be a K visa applicant at any time in the immediate, near or even distant future, they are done.
