My wife and two boys are traveling on Lufthansa (using United award tickets) and have a 4 hour layover in Frankfurt. Their arrival and departure is both from Terminal 1 and both segments are on LH metal.

1. From your experience will any of the Lufthansa lounges allow paid access. Will they have additional charge for the kids (ages 6 and 10)? Is one Lufthansa lounge with paid access better than other?

2. How is the LUXX lounge? Its the only lounge listed for Terminal 1 clearly labeled as open to everyone with paid access.
