One way awards are only possible from/to Canada & Continental USA.

The solution would be to book a return Winnipeg-Honolulu (stop) - Penang (destination) - Winnipeg for 130k in J, and then throw away the return leg.

Or, use another program which allows one ways Hawaii-Asia, like UA or TA.
