They will/may reverse a transfer in it's entirety if there is an error, however it's not like you can transfer 100k points to BA, get 135k due to the bonus and then put 100k back so that you stay with 35k Avios and can use the 100k for something else. Ain't gonna happen! Amex would have to be stupid to allow something like this...
