In my experience Seaborn (140 days cruising on 12 or more cruises) does not allow guests---unless they recently changed their policy. Since 9/11 cruise lines are very fussy about who they allow on board---and rightly so.
Our experience was in 2011 on a Med cruise on the Legend. My sister and husband were able to come aboard; which we had arranged prior to embarkation with our travel agent. We had sent copies of their passports to Seabourn in advance. I forget exactly which port this was in.
