I have 140k in UA and 100k in UR to supplement that and 200k MR. I rather burn MR but am somewhat appalled by the fuel surcharges Aeroplan and ANA seem to be charging.

I'm going to be traveling Peak season 06/26-07/04 and am alittle flexible around both start and end dates. My best routing so far seems to be EWR DUS LHR-LGW IST EWR (LH/TK/UA) or IST FRA EWR to take LH since their J product seems much better since it doesn't look like I'm able to locate any more economy awards. I don't have a preference for LGW/LHR or SAW/IST.

Does anyone know of any other creative routing or ways that I'd be able to burn MR instead of UA miles without paying over 500 in fuel surch / taxes? I still regret not having transferred all my MR to UA.
