Hi all,

My dad is flying YYZ-ATL-SCL with a 10 hour layover in ATL. He's just called me from YYZ and said they are not checking his bag through to SCL because his layover in ATL is too long. I was always under the impression that on a single ticket and an international-to-international connection this should not be a problem? I mean this is the ticket delta sold him...shouldn't there be some flag that pops up re: bags if it's too long? I've had bags checked through on far longer time frames. Is there anything he can do? He's kind of upset right now...

It doesn't look like ATL has any bag storage, so is he doomed to sit pre-security at ATL until 3 hours before his flight to SCL tonight? He's in J, if it matters.
