This site does, indeed, have an "off-topic" forum. It's called OMNI and it's open to all members with six months of membership and 180 posts. When you have met the requirements, you'll be automatically eligible to see and post to the OMNI family of several forums.

Post as you would normally -- substantively, helpfully -- then when you are admitted to OMNI, search for other golf threads and you may find some you'd like to join -- or start yours of choice if you don't see one that meets your needs.
