I flew BLR <-> FRA (connecting to/from YVR) on the old 747 and swore never again. But, I'm in Aeroplan so when the new 8i went onto the route I decided to try it. This a very nice new plane but Luffy continues to use a seat pitch suitable only for those under 5' 8" (31").

If you exceed that this is all pain all the time, especially with another 9 hour flight tacked onto it. To add insult to injury, the plane is outfitted with seat power in economy, but Lufthansa disables it. As i bring my own entertainment on an iPad this is very restrictive. There is in-seat entertainment now, and the exterior camera is cool on take-off and landing.

But, Its just not worth it. I have once again sworn never again. I'm going back in a couple weeks and taking Cathay via HKG. This is a MUCH better experience plus there is now the option to upgrade to premium economy, and the pay-per-use lounge with bedroom in HKG is awesome.
