I really enjoyed reading your post about the Dreamliner but I must admit, I am extremely nervous about boarding one given the recent battery problems. I know they have resolved the situation to a certain extent but Boeing have admitted they still do not know the root cause. I am a very nervous flyer in any case and this does nothing to boost my morale! I'm flying from LHR to IAH and then IAH to SJO. The first leg is on the Dreamliner. I must admit when I booked my flight I had no idea which aircraft I was on; I generally don't pay attention to aircraft type focussing instead on price and times. It wasn't until I showed my intinerary to a friend that he told me about the 787 and the problems it had been experiencing.

My question is this: have any of you flown long haul on the Dreamliner? I think I would be much less nervous if I were to fly on it short haul knowing that airports were in close range were a problem to arise. The possibility of a fire breaking out whilst I'm 37,000 ft over the Atlantic does not appeal to say the least.
