It would be me and a friend. I have the SWUs and the EXP status. I also have a pile of miles. If the SWU doesn't clear, can I use miles to upgrade us? Or do they come out of the same inventory?
Help/tips/advice appreciated.
If you wind up waitlist-ing, avoid Fridays and Sundays and shoot for Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
As an EXP you do have access to expanded inventory but you have to call. A good agent should be able to quickly help you.
SWUs and miles + copay upgrades come out of the same inventory so it makes no difference. Time of request matters and if it does not clear by the 24-hr. mark and goes to airport control, time of check-in matters at that point.
