My flight gets back to SFO around 1am, considering BART Millbrae parking w/ taxi at arrival. How stringent are BART in terms of ticketing on the calendar day, i.e., do I have to pay for the extra 1-2 hours by paying for an extra day?

Yeah, cheap, I know, just wondering if anyone has experience with flight delays, etc. and getting tickets.
