My time was quite the opposite, i find the rooms to be dated and the service poor with the exceptions of the hotel taxis and concierge. I stayed in a top floor suite and it was huge but it reminded me of something from vegas with gold faucets etc. The food was passable with no one able to speak english nor knowing anything about food or restaurant. It appeared to me that this hotel is run by a skeleton crew relying on the sheraton next door for support. I used my cc at three places in chile, to pay the airport immigration fee, the Lan office on easter island and to pay my bill here. $8k in fraudulent charges was the result . I can not blame the hotel but i suspect them, the man at the front desk asked if i worked for starwood because he saw no room charges, I paid with points. You get the idea
