French Open tickets and advice?
My wife and I are US expats living in Paris and are hoping to track down tickets for the French Open/Roland Garros over the next week or so. We have her parents visiting us next weekend and were able to get 2 tickets through the Viagogo exchange for Sunday, 2 June so ideally want 2 more tickets for that day, though at this point we're just trying to find something!
The research I've done online makes it sound like scalping tickets on the street is a bad idea. For the 2 tickets I did buy on Viagogo, I had to enter my in-laws names and apparently IDs are checked for each ticket at the gate. If this provision is enforced then it seems like getting tickets the day of is a no-go.
