Post #237 just reeks of you somehow feeling being superior to your friend ... is it because you make $60 an hour and he doesnt, or because he made what you thought were 'idiotic' choices....
making himself a great target for theft? Wait, there is no theft at Rome's historical sights?
Where do you get the impression that foreign experiences are out of my comfort zone? I think you are being aggressive here for no good reason. Is it because I didn't like the soap?

I loved every moment of the trip and would go back to Italy in a heartbeat.
The connection you are making between enjoying historical sites, wanting good sleep, and not enjoying the hotels soap....and me not enjoying foreign foreign experiences is just amusing.
In a city as large as Rome, I think it is a bit naive to run around solo until 5 in the morning (and have no clue where good and bad areas are, and not even speak the language).
