CALGARY, ALBERTA--WestJet announced today that it will implement
a temporary fuel surcharge effective January 10, 2003. The
airline will continue with its non-traditional method of
collecting fees by implementing this surcharge based on a method
of distance flown. Guests travelling trips under 300 miles will
see a $5 each way surcharge, for trips of 301-1000 miles $7, and
for trips of over 1000 miles $10.
