I hate the idea of a $460 surcharge on BA, but am I going to be kicking myself for adding 5 hours onto a trip for subpar soft product if I choose AA? I am flying with my spouse, so the privacy of AA reverse herringbone pattern is a negative.
Does the answer change if I am able to book in first?
Both seats are good. The AA seat might be a bit better but the service is better on BA. Additionally, the experiences in the BA lounges and T5 at LHR is miles above what AA provides. For me personally, I would not add time onto the trip.
