I will have a copy of our itinerary with me, so I understand that it shouldn't be a problem, at least when connecting from T1 to T5 (where the ticketing desk is before security). Does it also apply when connecting from T5 to T1 (where the ticketing desk is airside)?
When I connected about a month ago from T5 to T1 - I wrote here about how surprised I was that no-one checked any type of ID or boarding pass on the entire trip. The first time anything was checked was when I arrived at the BA lounge in T1. I was on BA the whole way, but didn't make a difference as no-one checked.
