I presume you referring to the potential 10% who are on award tickets, and possibly crew. Even if you take off 20% of the passengers, bump the load factor to 74% or whatever it actually is, and use the actual fuel cost, you'll see that it's not a surcharge to cover the (possibly) temporary and real increase in oil costs.

Rather, it's an actual cash grab, intended to produce profits. As such it should be included in the fare as a cost of doing business.

If AC actually stood up to the plate and included all surcharges and return fare requirements as the agreed to last year, it wouldn't be an issue. But as long as the engage in deceptive ad practices, well...
