I had one night last night at the Nines. I took the MAX train from the airport. Its the Red line and you get off at Pioneer Square North station. Takes about 40 mins or so. The current cost each was is $2.50. Schedule with this link posted.http://trimet.org/schedules/maxredline.htm

When you get off the train, walk left, at the light cross over to the left side of the street and it will be on the left, a block down.

Check in was decent, took about 10 mins, a few people ahead. Booked a superior 2 queen room, was given that, interior view. No upgrades, not even to a club room or exterior view. Said was only 6 rooms left in the entire property. Got to the room, which was ok, a W'ish feel/look. Went to the lounge, where you can have drinks I guess most of the day. Didn't stay long enough for the evening snacks, so can't comment on them.

Tried Departures for food/drinks, which I liked. There are alot of places to eat/drink in the near by area. Check out was quick. I would stay here again, but maybe try the Westin, I think better upgrades there. Sad to see Tom go, as he was so active here, but congrats Tom and well wishes for the new job/property.
