Hello all,

I am currently a frequent flyer on UA, and am going to be in Hong Kong/Japan this summer with my wife. We are going to be traveling from Hong Kong to Osaka, and then flying home through Tokyo (Shinkansen from Osaka to Tokyo).

Either way, I was only able to book one flight through UA for the direct ANA flight, and can book us through Seoul on the same flight. However I am an ANA Mileage Club member, and can convert some AMEX points to ANA points. I know from reading one-way flights are not an option, so I looked for HKG-KIX-PDG and it comes in at 20k Miles.

Is this my best option? Seats are currently listed as "WL" (Waitlist) does this mean they can't give me a seat now or the flight is oversold? Flight day is July 12.

Any help you can give me would be great, the website isn't the easiest to navigate from my point of view. Any idea what kind of fees would be associated?
