So I'm holding out hope that Golds will at least get a discount when booking MCE seats. I wouldn't be thrilled with that, but it would be better than what UA does for Silvers.
UA Silvers get EconomyPlus for free, at least for themselves and one companion, at time of check-in.

How would charging the AA 25k/GLD flyer for MCE be better for such customers than no charge? In limited ways.
