I see passports and tickets where name fields are marked with FNU for field not used.

Some people put the same name in first and last name fields as technically the tens of millions (or more) of people with just one name have that one name as their first and last name technically-speaking.

1. Same name in first and last name fields; or
2. Place the name in the last name field and in the first name field put Mr/Mrs/Mstr/Miss/etc.
3. Use FNU for first name field and the single name in the last name field.

I have seen all of these work with the first and the third giving more issues than the second.
