Question Tight connection at BRU to make last flight to CDG: what if I miss?

(This is regarding an AE reward that involves a connection from a UA to SN flight in BRU. I wasn't sure which forum to post it but I thought I'd start here.)

I arrive from ORD to BRU in the morning and have a 1:15 connection on SN to CDG. I learned that my 10:15 departure is the last SN flight of the day to CDG, and apparently the last flight of the day to CDG from BRU on any airline, period. Now I'm wondering what might happen if I miss that.

I suppose that SN would require me to stay in BRU for ~24 hours to make the next flight, but what if I decided to take the train to Paris, or do a one-way car rental and drive in order to actually make it there the day I was supposed to arrive? Would SN cover those costs or am I totally on my own in terms of fares, rental fees if I decide to take that approach? Would it have any effect on my return ticket if I no-showed for one of the segments?

For what it's worth, it's a reward J ticket... not sure if it makes any difference when it comes to speeding things along in BRU.
