You wish. But of course, you can cancel your card when they charge you annual fee and see if you have other offers.
I have asked an Amex rep about canceling the card if the benefits didn't work out and they said that the annual fee credit would be prorated.

I have a buddy that just moved back to Canada and upgraded his gold Amex to platinum and is now a cx GO member. not hating on him but it does suck that this benefit isn't offered here in the US. may have to figure out a way to get a Canadian Amex platinum card once my personally traveling slows down
