I'm on DL2131 (6:30 from LGA to DTW) right now, four hours into the delay.

Apparently the weather is bad enough to have knocked out a bunch of takeoff and landing slots. When we hit the mandatory return from tarmac after three hours, it took us 45 minutes to get back to the gate because the taxiways were so jammed.

And we can't wander the terminal because they don't have enough gate agents scheduled to manage the deplane & reboard process.

Congestion sounds like a reasonable description. Wish they'd tell us if we're definitely flying, though.
