Although likeatiger's AKL-MEL bid was successful @ $160, his MEL-AKL bid at $160 was not and this was the direction that QTFLYER was also declined on.
I do agree that luck can be a big part of it - who knows, on a lightly loaded flight QTFLYER could have set the new precedent for MEL-AKL Y > C.
It's just that $160 seemed like a low bid to me, based upon previous lowest bid of $218.
Again, the opaqueness of OneUp is befuddling.
Why don't they just set the bid meter at the lowest possible bid that has a chance of acceptance? Why allow bids that have no hope of acceptance?
