Plaza on the River - London
I posted previously about booking 2 rooms and possibly upgrading at this hotel for our upcoming trip to Europe. I appreciate all the responses.
I'm having some second thoughts on the hotel now and wanted to get some recent input from people who know the area and are familiar with the CC hotels. I did search and read some of the previous threads re: London hotels, but I'm hoping to get specific information about the location of this hotel and if it's as inconvenient as I have read in some TA reviews. The reviews are otherwise very good, but having never been to London before, location is very important to me.
We are only there 3 days, so we'd like to be realistic and hit just a few of the sites (which I'm trying to narrow down). Hoping to take advantage of the 2for1 deals offered by the National Rail, which do require purchasing a railway ticket for each day.
We don't mind walking, but it would be nice to have public transportation, restaurants/pubs/shopping within a reasonable distance. Right now, the available alternatives (all at 50K/night) are: The May Fair, Rad Blu Edwardian Sussex, Rad Blu Mercer St., Rad Blu Bloomsbury. With needing 2 rooms for 3 nights, I really don't want to use more than 50K a night.
The only negative thing that I have read about PP on the River is that it's a bit isolated and not convenient to much of anything.
Thanks for any input.
