There's a time and place for everything. I too enjoy a good night out, and yeah I do enjoy unwinding with a few drinks at the airport at times. But in each situation there is level of expected decorum. i.e. it's generally acceptable to get hammered on a night out, especially in Vegas. A shuttle bus is not a club/bar etc, and this type behavior should not be condoned.
Methinks this is good ole fashioned open container violation and public intox just about everywhere else in the US. Assault, I think is a bit of stretch. But I'm no lawyer.
But as far as what I would've done, I might make mention of it if I come across a LEO, but other than that I would've let it go.
That's ultimately what we did. I was just curious how others would have approached the situation.
I am not saying people cannot drink but there is a time and place to act like an idiot/a child when doing so.
