Someone in my office is looking for a tablet for his aging mother. Something that is simple, primary use is to access skype for face-to-face video chats with family. It would literally sit on the kitchen table.

Now, I'm an apple fanboy but I think iPad is probably overkill for them. I'm going to lend them my iPhone to see if that is too small [if it works, they would then get iTouch].

So my question: recommendations for a NON-APPLE device?
