I've been fortunate never to have tried the brunch, sounds a bit of a poor offering. I've personally never minded the afternoon tea though (but understand why many would do, particularly if on a connecting flight and had no time to eat). I like having a sandwich, scone and some champagne when flying that time of the day. Perhaps there should be also a more substantial option offered too though - only issue would be getting the amounts to stock correct.

East Coast (trains) also has people who are not impressed by their afternoon tea services, mainly because they have nothing more than scones, sandwiches and cake on offer at those trains, whereas other trains have some sort of hot option too. They don't have the little bottles of champagne that BA do.
Well the offering in ET is more now that prior to the changes last Winter.

You now always get a double wrap on Band 3 flights and a wrap on Band 1 and 2 during lunch and dinner periods. The basket pass is on Band 1 & 2 flights mid morning and afternoon only. So that is an enhancement on what was there before.

CE is similar to before (but with these time changes as mentioned) but the trays are actually better.

When the brunch offering is served at an appropriate time, people really like it, it is the timings that just need to alter. Afternoon tea is much nicer than before, so an enhancement although as mentioned now, quite a few times, it is the time changes that are causing the problem on a small number of flights, although hopefully they will see sense and alter these times back.

I think the gist of what was being said by that company was to give their staff £50 and an ET ticket instead of CE and this was also triggered by the lounge situation.

I personally think that travelling in CE would be my preferred option if I were one of their employees, plus use of the lounge and of course you are right BA need to look at this. It would as you say be bad for BA to ignore this if it were a trend.

I just did not want those that have not taken a CE or ET flight to get the wrong impression that there is a lack of catering.
