This is my first flight on the -900ER, and my redeye to SEA is off on the wrong foot... this makes NO sense!
They still move vertically and tilt. The ears were required to be made rigid by the FAA late in the certification. The long term solution will hopefully be shorter movable ears at 17A/F.
